Tribute to Mothers
Out of all the blessings I have in life, the most precious to me is my mother. From my very early years, to my teenage years, to my young adulthood, she has always stood by my side. In times of trouble, in times of worry, in times of sorrow, my mother has stood by my side until the darkness fades into prefect, eternal light. Since the time I was young until the present day, she has taught me to be good, to remember who I am, to live up to my greatest potential. Priceless is the value of mother. Thomas S Monson gave a beautiful talk about the importance of mothers.(http://lds.org/liahona/1998/04/behold-thy-mother?lang=eng&query=mothers) He speaks of mothers forgotten, then mothers remembered, mothers blessed, then mothers loved. In every situation we encounter, mothers teachings are a moral compass for us to choose the right. Important is the thought to remember our mothers. Most important, however, is to love our mothers. To not only remember but to live by the memory of mother. To not only be there for her, but as the savior of the world stated in his last hour, to "Behold thy mother".(John 19:26-27) I love my mother more than anything in the world. She has taught me how to be good, to live the good life. May we remember and love our mother, listen to the words of the prophet when he spoke of mothers, to "Behold our mothers." "As we truly listen to that gentle command and with gladness obey its intent, gone forever will be the vast legions of “mothers forgotten.” Everywhere present will be “mothers remembered,” “mothers blessed,” and “mothers loved”; and, as in the beginning, God will once again survey the workmanship of His own hand and be led to say, “It is very good".(Thomas S Monson)
