Instruction Manuals: Who needs those?

I think all of us have done it before. A project need to be done. We think we know how to do it, so we toss out the instructions, rely on our own knowledge to get the job done. Out of all the manuals of the world, the greatest are the scripture. They help us know who we are, where we are going, where we came from. They can change our lives if we listen to there word. Tomas S. Monson said "Each of us has come to this earth with all the tools necessary to make correct choices." The scriptures guide us and help us choose the right, without them we are lost, do not have a path that leads back to him. Another prophet said "As you read the scriptures and listen to the words of the prophets with all your heart and mind, the Lord will tell you how to live up to your privileges." It is our privilege as His children to come to know him, which will give us the power of faith, of hope, of peace, which we need to pass the trials in this life. Jesus himself said "search the scriptures, for they are they which testify of me."(John 5:39)
