The Lockout

Recently in sports news allot has been going on. The NFL season had a lockout. The players and there managers could not agree on the contracts. A very similar problem came to the NBA as well. This would mean the seasons could not go on. For me, a die hard fan of both the NBA and NFL, it would mean no more watching Aaron Rogers and the Packers, no more watching the Redskins, no more watching Kobe take on LeBron and no more watching Kevin Durant grow up and begin to take over. I know that when two people ore groups cannot agree, see only differences, don't communicate, nothing works out.

GET ME OUT OF HERE!!!!

In life sometimes we face problems or challenges dealing with others. This is only natural since each of us are different in our own ways. Its OK to be different. The problem comes when we put others down or get angry because of our differences. We cannot have the spirit with us when we are angry. Just the other day a group of missionary's got together. They separated in twos on what we call team ups, planning on meeting back again at the truck at 6 p.m. The time arrived and one set had made it back. The car was gone. In frustration they called the other set, only to get there voice message over and over again. The other set eventually drove back to the location and were mad because they were not there when they planned on. For the rest of the night there was contention until they actually sat down to talk about it. They learned it was not any ones fault, for there was simply no coverage. Many times people do not intend to hurt each other but there is just a lack of communication. The Gospel of Jesus teaches us to love one another. To say were sorry. To repent. To forgive. To respect one another. To say maybe you were right. When applied in our hearts and in our home, the spirit of the Lord will be with us. We can find peace.
