Recently I watched the new Robin Hood staring Russel Crowe. A line from it impressed me deeply enough to write a blog about it and change the title of my page. "Rise and rise again until lambs become lions." Robin Hood himself came from a humble birth and rose to be a great leader of men. Though we may not live in the middle ages being faced with great wars outside the country and in, each of us face a battle with ourselves. Sometimes, despite our greatest efforts, we fall. While we might settle for less, our heavenly father has provided us a way to rise up, to become like him. He wants up to be happy. Countless are the story's in the scriptures of men who fell than rose with faith in Christ to guide them to become rock solid. Peter who initially denied Christ ends up giving his life for him. Paul who persecuted the Christians loses his sight, then gains everything as he gives his life in serving God. Each are challenged to refocus on what is most important to them and to those around them. Its been extremely hard for me to adjust from my mission to a normal life, especially with all that comes with it such as jobs, gas, college. But I now know as I seek after him daily, feast for those things that fill my soul and not for those things which would only momentarily feed my hunger, I can be just as happy as I was on my mission. True happiness comes as we seek after Christ. We find him day by day, by serving others. As we practice what we learn from the master we become more like Him.
