Young Mans Walk

YOUNG MAN'S WALK
Once as a young man I had it all,
My path was easy, my confidence tall,
the world had no limits,
Boundary's, there were none,
try as they might,
I wouldn't be convinced,
life was fun

So down the road  I walked,
with my head held high,
I was on top of the world,
I was ready to fly

Someone once said,
 "God was good",
that hes full of love,
mercy and grace,
but i am not so sure,
I have never seen his face

Life use to be easy,
but now its hard,
I seem to have fallen,
and hes nowhere around.

I took a walk through the woods,
I stared at the trees,
some were tall, some were small,
and some had no leaves

One had fallen to the ground,
once so mighty, big and round,
now no roots, to hold it down

I learned in life
times can get hard,
without the roots,
you are who you are

And when the winds come,
like they always do,
without the roots,
I am who I am,
I will fall too.
Faith is the roots in our life. When planted deep in the gospel, they makes us who we are, give us strength to overcome all trials and temptation of the devil. It comes as we learn of the savior through prayer, scripture study, and obedience, application of learning truth.
